Falafel Made Easy!

This is one of my favorite foods, I’ve always been obsessed with comfort food but also healthy! You know Falafel is that kind of food, it all depends on the oil that you fry it, but when you are on vacation or in a rush, it’s always easy to choose one of these fast-food restaurants that are not so healthy I would say! The good thing is that you can make it at home, check out my easy and not so long recipe.


  • 400g raw chickpeas soaked overnight 
  • 6 thin stems chopped fresh parsley 
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 medium minced shallots
  • 2 Tbsps raw sesame seeds 
  • 2 Tsps cumin 
  • ⅕ Tsp each sea salt and black pepper 
  •  3 coriander stems
  • 2 Tbsps all-purpose flour 
  • 5 Tbsps olive oil

Method 1

  • In a food processor or blender add the 400g chickpeas, (drained)
  • start adding the parsley, the garlic cloves minced, the shallots and the sesame seeds
  • continue adding the condiments such as salt, black pepper, cumin and coriander stems
  • At the end add the flour and oil
  • Now mix or blend for about 1 min, move and blend again until you get a thick paste to start making the falafel balls,
  • if the mix is to sticky you can add a bit of flour

Method 2

  • Start by making the falafel balls you have to options
  1. Option 1 you can put them in the fridge for an hour ( texture will be better)
  2. Option 2 start frying them right away
  • Prepare a large frying pan and add 5 tbsp coconut oil
  • Wait until is melted and let it heat
  • When the oil is ready start by frying the falafel and flip it ( turn it) when you see that golden brown color
  • Continue with the rest


  • You can make lettuce wraps, tortillas, or pita bread,
  • Hummus
  • cherry tomatoes
  • pickled cabbage and enjoy
